Some of the most telling moments in a school’s history happen long before the first pupil arrives. This week, close to 100 prospective parents and pupils visited Via Nomentana for the Open Morning at Brighton College Rome, ahead of the school’s opening in September 2027. Renovation works have not yet begun, yet the building’s enduring beauty and distinctive character already provided a compelling glimpse of the exceptional learning environment it will become.
Brighton College Rome is being built on a premise shared by every school in the Intellego portfolio: that lasting institutions take shape gradually, through patient stewardship rather than haste. Founding Head Master James Hodgson, Deputy Head (Prep) Harriet Hepworth-Bond and Dr Stephen Spurr, Chairman of Intellego, were all present on the day, giving prospective families an early sense of the educational leadership, long-term vision and experience that will shape the school from its very first term.
The morning was led by Director of Admissions & Marketing Jane d’Amico, with colleagues from Intellego and Brighton College on hand throughout to welcome families and answer questions. Long before classrooms are filled, it is these early conversations, shared ambitions and first connections that begin to shape the character of a school community.
More families will be welcomed to Via Nomentana in the months ahead, as the school’s community continues to grow before its doors formally open. To find out more, please visit the school’s website at www.brightoncollegerome.com
